Nearly 300 GE Healthcare employees in Salt Lake City created a human pink ribbon Wednesday in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Similar displays, scheduled to take place this month in more than two dozen cities worldwide, are part of the company's global initiative to raise awareness of the need for early detection of breast cancer.

GE Healthcare has been making equipment that detects and treats breast cancer since the 1960s.
