The PoP Shoppe soft drink brand, remembered from the 1970s through its "stubby" glass bottles, is back in flavors such as cream soda, lime ricky, black cherry, root beer, orange, grape, pineapple and cola.
"A true retro brand re-born, The PoP Shoppe has enjoyed tremendous success in its return, and we are thrilled to turn back the clock for the many Utah residents who enjoyed The PoP Shoppe so many years ago," said CEO Brian Alger.
The PoP Shoppe prospered until competition from private label grocery brands forced the firm to close its doors in the 1980s. In 2002, Alger purchased the trademark for his favorite childhood soda, and in 2004, he re-launched the brand .
Shoppers can find the sodas at all Fresh Market, Macey's and Dan's Market locations throughout Utah.
