Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse has opened a new restaurant in Salt Lake City. It's located in a remodeled building at 1414 S. Foothill Blvd., formerly TGI Fridays.
It's the second Utah restaurant for the popular Texas barbecue chain. The first Utah location opened in 2011 at 33 E. 11400 South, in Sandy.
With nine locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Sonny Bryan's specializes in traditional barbecue fare include beef brisket, pulled pork and homemade barbecue sauce. It's also famous for its onion rings.
