Notes following Jazz shootaround Saturday morning at EnergySolutions Arena.Earl Watson (left knee bone bruise) went through shootaround and will be a game-time decision Saturday night against New Jersey.Utah is expected to start Devin Harris, Raja Bell, Gordon Hayward, Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson.If Watson is cleared, all 13 Jazz players should be active.Watson said he felt a little soreness during shootaround. He'll go hard during pregame warmups, then make a decision. Watson's willing to play through pain, so the only way he won't take the court is if his knee flares up."My pregame workout is pretty intense," he said. "So I'm going to try to do my routine and see how my knee responds. … It's a part of who I am, is playing through injury and playing with an edge and sometimes being banged up. "I'm going to be smart about it. But at the same time, just do what I do best and do what I love: play basketball."C.J. Miles on Deron Williams and the Jazz: … for the way it really happened, it wasn't his best. It still could've been handled better. Both sides know that. But, hey.Miles said watching Kris Humphries suddenly get traded was the first time he learned "the way it could go."Al Jefferson on his friendship with Williams: We keep in touch. We're still cool and everything. It's a business. Things like this happen all the time. When I first got drafted in Boston, someone told me you're going to have a lot of coaches and a lot of different teammates. The first couple times, me getting traded, guys around me getting traded, it was kind of emotional. It's part of the game now.How far removed the Jazz are from last season: Going through that last year was pretty tough. One thing after another. But we've got Ty now, we've got Devin, we've got a new team. You can't live in the past. You've got to move on and try to make the best of what we got.First time he was traded: Me leaving Boston was kind of sad, because Boston was the team that drafted me and I've still got mad love for them. But at the same time, if I was Danny Ainge, I would've traded me for Kevin Garnett, too. Williams now having to deal with losing: Deron's not used to losing. But that team got a plan. They know something big going to happen for them. And I think he know that. If not, he a free agent next year, so I'm pretty sure he going to pick and choose where he want to go. But I'm pretty sure New Jersey's going to do everything they can to keep him. But that's just me talking off the top of my head. … I can't see New Jersey letting him go.How good Williams was: Aw, man. Let's just hope we don't see that tonight. He's a special player. Very smart. High IQ. He's one of them guys that, he get off by getting other guys off. And that's a good thing when you've got a guy who want people around him to score. And then when he have to, he can take over and do some scoring, too. … His work ethic is amazing. I wish I had a little longer to spent with him, but things happen.Devin Harris acknowledged there'll be a little "added emotion" due to Williams' return, but said it'll be no different than when he played Dallas after being traded to New Jersey.Asked about feeling the leftover effects of Williams' tenure in Utah, Harris said he hasn't noticed it much.Harris on Williams: Obviously, he's one of the best. He can beat you in two different ways. He's a high-assist guy who can also put up points. Those are always guys who cause problems. His time in New Jersey: Not a bad taste. It was a difficult situation all year long. Obviously with the Carmelo situation … it was kind of a weird year for everybody. … It's really hard for the younger guys. Whether Derrick Favors is talking more now: He's doing a lot more talking. … He's starting to open up a little bit. Maybe three [-word answers] if you're lucky. How much better off Harris is after New Jersey: It is [better]. It's just reassurance. Winning is the most important thing. We didn't get a whole lot of that when I was there. … The 12-win season was tough, and last year going through what we went through was tough.
