Bank of American Fork Operations Manager Marcia Clements has been recognized by the Independent Community Bankers of America as a "rising star." The award is given to those in the community-banking industry who exemplify professionalism, accomplishment and integrity. Clements is one of six bankers nationally to receive the award.
Ray Quinney & Nebeker, a Salt Lake City-based law firm, has announced that attorneys Blake R. Bauman, David B. Dibble, Michael K. Erickson and S. Brandon Owen have been elected shareholders. Bauman is a member of the firm's real estate section, and Dibble is with the labor and employment section. Erickson and Owen practice in the firm's intellectual property section.
Allegiance, a Salt Lake City-based technology and services provider, has named Andrew McInnes director of product marketing. McInnes, formerly a customer experience analyst at Forrester Research, will help guide the company's market strategies and leadership programs.
Utah Valley University's new Business Resource Center has named Utah Valley business leader Roger Andrus as director. In his position, he will help entrepreneurs and small businesses use the resources the business center provides.
Philip Thompson, director of the Dawson Metallurgical Laboratory at FLSmidth in Salt Lake City, has won the Antoine M. Gaudin Award, an international recognition of scientific and engineering contributions that further understanding of mineral processing technology. David Meadows, FLSmidth vice president of global process technology, will receive the Arthur F. Taggart Award, which is given to the author of a paper that best represents a notable contribution to the science of minerals processing in the past two years. The awards are presented by the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, a professional association with members in 100 countries.
C.R. England, the Salt Lake City-based nationwide trucking concern, has announced several appointments. Barry Wallace has joined the company as a maintenance finance controller. He previously worked as a manager of business development for the company. Amanda Petty has joined as a recruiter training manager. She has experience as a trainer in the finance industry. Cameron Smith and Michael Dockery have been name senior driver recruiters. Smith previously worked in the education field, while Dockery previously worked in the finance industry. Jake Schorzman is a new financial analyst for the dedicated division. He previously worked as a financial analyst for a biodiesel production company. Zackery Hafford has joined as a mechanic. He previously worked as a driver in the transportation industry.
Alexandra Hess has been promoted to executive director at The Leonardo, a museum in downtown Salt Lake City that focuses on science, technology and creativity. Hess previously served as associate executive director. Before joining The Leonardo, she held management roles with the Salt Lake and Sydney Olympic organizing committees, as well as the Stills Gallery in Sydney, a multimedia art and contemporary photography gallery.
BidSync, an American Fork company that sells e-procurement, e-sourcing software and bid notifications, said it has expanded its executive team with the appointments of Jon Moody as vice president of eProcure sales, Bray Brockbank as vice president of marketing and James Edwards as director of information technology.
Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment has announced that Libby Arias has been promoted to local sales manager for KJZZ-TV and Megaplex Theaters. Chris Barney has been promoted to local sales manager for KFAN Radio. Arias is in her eighth year with KJZZ-TV and previously worked as a senior account executive for the station. Barney is in his fourth year with KFAN.
Park City-based Rossignol Group has hired Tom Lebsack as snowboard division manager for the United States market. Lebsack comes to Rossignol from Red Bull, where he spent the past six years in several capacities, most recently logistics manager for events in 13 states. Before that, he was a Rossignol sales and service agent in the Pacific Northwest.
The Park City Chamber/Bureau has promoted Craig McCarthy to director of member services. McCarthy has been the communications manager for the past six years for the Chamber/Bureau.
Setpoint Systems, an Ogden-based company that designs and manufactures custom lean automation solutions and manufacturing equipment, has announced that Shane Aardema has joined its management team as a project manager. Aardema has more than 17 years of industrial chemical experience in a variety of industries.
