I was a policeman in the military, and I hunt, so I have some understanding of when you should discharge a firearm. I'm also aware how difficult it is, even with training, to accurately shoot a gun.
I can't think of any reason, including the Second Amendment, to allow our Utah population to carry guns openly on their hips, as is provided in Utah House Bill 49, which is now before the Utah Senate.
Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker and my Park City Mayor Dana Williams need to become members of Mayors against Illegal Guns. We would all be safer.
