Sioux Falls, S.D. • Southern Utah used a 14-1 run in the final 3:12 of the game to overcome an 11-point deficit and surprise Oakland 84-82 in the quarterfinals of the Summit League men's basketball tournament Sunday.

Jackson Stevenett led the sixth-seeded T-birds (14-16) with 26 points, including the game-winner with 12.7 seconds left. "We just stuck together as a team and kept playing hard," Stevenett said. "That's what teams do."

Damon Heiur added 21 points for SUU, which plays South Dakota State at 9:30 p.m. Monday in the semifinals.

Reggie Hamilton, the nation's leading scorer, put up 31 points for Oakland (17-15).
