Kelly Clarkson has come a long way since she won the first season of "American Idol" 10 years ago.

The 29-year-old singer from Texas has become the most popular performer to emerge from Fox's star-making machine, releasing five albums and selling 24 million copies. Her hit songs include "Since U Been Gone," "My Life Would Suck Without You," "Mr. Know It All" and her current chart-topper "Stronger" — which is also the name of her current tour.

That tour arrives Tuesday, March 20, at the Maverik Center, 3200 S. Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City.

Singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson — who made his own reality-TV splash, providing the musical accompaniment for one of the romantic encounters on "The Bachelor" — opens the show, which starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets, at $69.50, $49.50 and $39.50, are available at TicketMaster.
