Good news for people who like their movies alfresco (that's outside, for the non-Italian among us): The Redwood Drive-In is open for the season.

Salt Lake County's only drive-in movie theater, at 3688 S. Redwood Road in Salt Lake City, opened on Friday, with "The Hunger Games" on one screen, and double features of recent films — "Act of Valor" and "Safe House"; "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" and "This Means War"; "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" and "Big Miracle"; "Project X" and "Chronicle"; and "John Carter" and "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" — on the other five.

Admission is $7 per person for people 10 and older; $1 for kids 5 to 9; and free for kids 4 and under (who should probably be asleep anyway).
