Mere mortals turned into superheroes Saturday by helping raise money for Shriners Hospital for Children at the "Super Hero Fun Run and 10K" at Timpview High School.

Participating runners were invited to dress as their favorite superhero.

The event's grand marshal was Bridger Housley, a 15-month-old who was born with Larsen's syndrome, a rare connective tissue disorder.
