The Eagle Gate Tower in downtown Salt Lake City has a new name — the World Trade Center at City Creek.

Located at 60 E. South Temple, the high rise was given the new moniker Wednesday at an open house to mark it as the home of four organizations that together and separately work to promote economic development in the state.

Organizations relocating to the tower are the Governor's Office of Economic Development, the World Trade Center of Utah, the Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative and the Office of Energy Development.

Hundreds of local businesspeople and community leaders attended the building's inaugural event.
