The best preparation for impersonating Utah and national figures swirling the vortex of Republican LDS culture is a good night of bowling. Who knew? Salt Lake Acting Company, perennial purveyors of "Saturday's Voyeur," of course.

The company's second annual "Bowling Fundraiser" is three, possibly four, strikes in one. First, it lets you support local theater through a $25 admission fee, plus anyone who can donate on your behalf. Second, it lets you meet the cast up-close and personal, as they'll be bowling along with you, but not necessarily on your team. Third, it's a great opportunity for fun and, depending on your competitive streak, a little exercise.

The Salt Lake Tribune's own Pat Bagley will be there for custom caricature portraits, there will be gift drawings galore, and a photographer there to document it all. Tying it all up in one neat bow will be sneak peak performances of this year's production of "Saturday's Voyeur," sure to be heavy on all things Mitt Romney.
