Cyclist David Zabriskie of Salt Lake City is among the witnesses who will testify against seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong in the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's case against him, according to media reports.
The New York Times and De Telegraaf in the Netherlands cited unnamed sources close to the investigation as saying that Zabriskie and Rowland Hall graduate Levi Leipheimer are among four former Armstrong teammates who will testify in the case.
The Dutch newspaper additionally said that the former teammates — also including George Hincapie and Christian Vande Velde — made a deal with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency to serve six-month suspensions for their own doping, starting in September.
Neither Zabriskie, a seven-time national time trial champion who graduated from Olympus High School, nor Leipheimer could be reached for comment.
All four riders cited in the reports are competing at the Tour de France.
All four were members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team who last month withdrew their names from consideration for the 2012 team that will compete at the London Olympics starting later this month. At the time, it was suspected the riders' involvement in the ongoing case against Armstrong was the reason.
