Utah's offensive line needs to play better to help the run game, but freshman running back Jarrell Oliver said on Tuesday he knows he needs to do a better job as well. Oliver, who had 11 carries for 24 yards against BYU, admitted he was a little too eager against the Cougars. Oliver is a very good north-south runner, but the 5-8, 210-pound back is learning he has to mix a little patience in with his quickness. "I did the best I could," he said. "But I have to learn I can't just hit it hard. I have to be more patient, read my keys and make better cuts so I can make big plays." Oliver got a little banged up against BYU but practiced Tuesday and said he was ready to go against ASU. Chances are he'll get some more opportunities since starter John White is still recovering from his ankle injury. "I know it will get easier over time," Oliver said. "I'd been waiting for a long time to play, I just have to be more patient." - Lya Wodraska
