The X96 Big Ass Show will feature Neon Trees, The Used, Grouplove, AWOLNATION, Eve 6, The Wombats, Imagine Dragons, and up-and-coming Los Angeles-based hard-rock band Dead Sara.

The co-ed quartet of two men and two women have been tasting success with the rock=radio hit single "Weatherman," off of their 2012 self-titled debut album.

In a Tribune interview, Dead Sara frontwoman Emily Armstrong received her first guitar as birthday present when she turned 12, and knew immediately she wanted to do nothing else but play guitar and sing in a rock band.

She dropped out of high school, incredibly with her mother's support. "I never thought of anything to fall back on," Armstrong said.

It has not been an overnight success for Armstong, who said she lived for years on a diet that consisted of bean burritos from Taco Bell.

But this year has turned out to be the "best" for the band, having opened for Utah band The Used earlier this year and now touring with another Utah band, Neon Trees.
