The U.K. band Wolf Gang just finished its tour with Coldplay, and now is headlining shows with its quirky, upbeat brand of indie rock. Opening for Chris Martin and company was "really eye-opening," said the band's frontman, Max McEllington.

Later this year, the Wolf Gang hopes to broaden its exposure by opening for Keane overseas.

"We've been continuing to push forward," said McEllington, an alum of the London School of Economics, which also counts Mick Jagger among its famous former students. "You can never write enough songs." Although he hails from Scotland, McEllington lived in Ann Arbor, Mich., for about six months when he was young. His favorite memory of that time in America was seeing a pow-wow, something you just don't see in Scotland.
