Greetings from rainy San Francisco and tiny War Memorial Gymnasium, where BYU and the USF Dons will battle here in a few minutes in a key West Coast Conference basketball contest.

The Cougars are slight favorites, three or four points, and come in on a three-game winning streak. They've been playing their best basketball of the season lately, but are still looking for their first win outside the state of Utah.

The Dons are 0-1 in league play, having lost a close one at Santa Clara last Wednesday. They've had an extra day to prepare for the Cougars, 11-4 overall.

The crowd tonight should be evenly split between BYU and USF fans because USF students are still out on holiday break.

Looks like the Show from San Diego State has made its way north, however. Several USF students, the ones that are here, are wearing white shirts, ties and bicycie helmets. Yes, the Cougars have seen that before.
