Castle Dale rodeo • It's not a holiday weekend in Utah without a rodeo. The Cowboys Memorial Day Rodeo is Friday and Saturday night in the Emery County town of Castle Dale. Both nights feature traditional rodeo events plus a tough man competition where participants dare a bull to knock them out of a circle, plus a chicken chase for the kids. Television • Audra McDonald has won five Tony Awards. She has an incredible voice. She's the host of PBS' Live from Lincoln Center (8 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7). And this week, we get to hear McDonald's incredible voice as she takes a turn as the featured performer, singing songs from her new album and other favorites in a special spring concert. By the way, McDonald is married to Utah native/fellow Broadway performer Will Swenson.

Theatre • The Grand Theatre's production of "La Cage Aux Folles" is funny, flamboyant and reveals that warm family relationships can break through "the boundaries of traditional definitions," according to Salt Lake Tribune theatre critic Barbara Bannon.
