A missing woman was found dead inside a car parked in a Washington City subdivision on Tuesday.

The St. George woman, 27, was found in the Indian Springs neighborhood about 11 p.m. She had been missing since Monday evening.

Washington City police spokesman Ed Kantor said Wednesday that the incident is "currently being investigated as a probable suicide." He declined to release further information on the specific means of death, other than to say "there was no obvious trauma present."

The Utah State Medical Examiner's Office was conducting an autopsy.
