Box Elder County firefighters rushed to the scene of a rural house fire late Thursday morning, but the small, one-bedroom wooden structure was a total loss.
Public safety dispatchers said no injuries were reported in the 11:47 a.m. blaze near 16450 N. Beaver Road, near the community of Beaver Dam.
It took about an hour to contain the fire, which continued to smolder into the early afternoon.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
It was not immediately known if anyone had been living in the structure.
