Cowards! After reading the Rolly column on Sunday, September 22 regarding the "we are one" mantra between conservatives and the LGBT community, I had to call out Utah's legislators who are spineless, cowardly, and, in other words, "bravery challenged."

It is amazing how many conservatives now embrace the LGBT community after the LDS Church "began to moderate its position on gays and lesbians and their right to function in society like everyone else." What would have been courageous and compassionate would be to disregard the hard line the LDS Church had previously taken toward individuals in the LGBT community and act with compassion toward everyone in the community.

Doing what is right instead of doing what is popular is courageous. Waiting until you are given permission to do what is so obviously right is cowardly.
