Provo police detectives are looking for three hooded jewelry thieves.

About 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, a jewelry courier had just left a jewelry store in the Provo Towne Centre Mall when three men in a minivan pulled up to him. One of the trio pulled a knife and demanded jewels from the courier, according to the police.

Before they fled, the armed suspect cut the tires of the car that the courier was standing by — police assume the suspect believed it was the courier's, the release adds.

Police describe all three suspects as wearing black hoodies with red cloths over their faces, and believe they were driving a 2004-2007 gray Honda Odyssey.

Anyone with information about the case should is asked to call Detective Robert Payne at 801-852-7280.
