What is your favorite use of local tax dollars? I cherish our wonderful libraries!

Spooky Sprague's Haunted Library event on Oct. 25 was a lovely example of educational fun for our family that was dreamed up and performed by our smart librarians.

We were delighted by: our friendly welcome by a ghost puppet in black light, matching creatures to their shadow shapes, monster bowling, floating ghosts parachute play, crawling to the skeleton at the end of the tunnel, seasonal crafts, tell-tale hollow, fortune teller, author Kristyn Crow reading her children books, haunted window shoot-out, spider web maze, and Dr. Frankenstein's chemistry lab (Thank you, volunteers from Westminster College!).

These costumed librarians, staff, and volunteers created lovely memories that will encourage us to return again and again to our neighborhood library. Librarians offer true leadership in our world.
