Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shop has opened at The Gateway in Salt Lake City.

The company stocks more than 2,000 kinds of nostalgic and imported candies, chocolate and taffies and 500 types of bottled soda, according to owner Patrick Evans. In addition, customers will find retro and gag gifts, posters and tin signs.

It's the second Rocket Fizz in Utah. The company already has a location in St. George.

The Gateway store occupies 3,500 square feet and is located in the space the previously belonged to Blickenstaffs and Called to Surf.

"Rocket Fizz will be a wonderful addition to our many family friendly shops," said Rochelle Fraser, Gateway marketing director. "The store offers an awesome variety of items for those who are looking for a unique gift or a special treat for themselves during their holiday shopping."

Rocket Fizz has more than 30 location across the country.
