Finishing touches are being made on one of the world's largest whale shark sculptures, which will make its debut at The Loveland Living Planet Aquarium under construction in Draper.

The aquarium hired Utah sculptor Stephen Kelser to create the one-of-a-kind lobby display, featuring the life-sized feeding whale shark and four manta rays.

The aquarium hoped for a grand opening in its new location in December, but is behind schedule, according to a news release. A firm opening date has yet to be announced.
