Steve Newbold, of Preston, Idaho, center, marvels Saturday at the mule deer with "cactus spikes" that was killed in Carbon County during the 8th Annual Western Hunting & Conservation Expo at the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center. The mule deer is hanging at the booth of Utah's Cooperative Wildlife Management Unit Association. Expo officials say the show has expanded 20 percent from last year with more than 150 new exhibitors. An estimated 30,000 people are expected to attend. The show continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.huntexpo.com.
