East Rutherford, N.J. • The New York Giants confirmed Friday that they gave 67-year-old coach Tom Coughlin a one-year extension, putting him under contract through the 2015 season. The Giants have missed the playoffs the past two seasons but won Super Bowls in 2008 and '12 under Coughlin.
