A woman who died from a gunshot wound Friday in Kamas apparently killed herself.

The 43-year-old woman was found about 5:15 p.m. Friday on the porch of a home near 3600 E. Weber Canyon Road after someone called the sheriff's department to report shots fired. Deputies and neighbors tried unsuccessfully to perform CPR on the woman.

On Friday evening, investigators were not sure if the woman had shot herself or had been shot by someone else.

In a press release Monday, investigators reported that the woman's gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
