Timpanogos High announced Wednesday that Nate Crandall has resigned as boys' basketball coach and that the Orem school is opening up the job for applications.

The Timberwolves finished last season with a 7-15 overall record and were 2-9 in Region 7 play.

According to maxpreps.com, his record with the school was 29-44. He had previously coached at Kearns.

In a news release from the school, assistant principal Deb Zirbes said administrators expressed appreciation to Crandall "for his dedicated service to our student-athletes the past four years. His positive attitude and influence continue to greatly benefit our school community."

Zirbes said those interested in applying for the job may apply online at the Alpine School District website.
