Children's TV's favorite construction worker, Bob the Builder, has arrived in Salt Lake City.
An interactive exhibit, "Bob the Builder - Project: Fix It," opens Saturday at Discovery Gateway, 444 W. 100 South, Salt Lake City, in The Gateway shopping center.
The exhibit lets children play-act in several scenarios: Building a wall for Bob's stable of vehicles, growing vegetables near Wendy's solar-powered caravan, feeding Farmer Pickles' water pump, and working in Bob's workshop.
The touring exhibit, produced by HiT Entertainment and The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, "extends the interest in the museum for kids who come here frequently," said spokeswoman Kirsta Albert.
Also, since the exhibit will be open through Sept. 7, Albert said it would also draw families visiting Salt Lake City this summer.
