Utah brewers and beer lovers sampled more than 80 beers from 15 states in the 2014 Mountain Brewers Beer Festival in Idaho Falls over the weekend.
The annual festival also featured food, music and The North American Beer Awards competition, which allowed regional breweries to measure up against some of the best in the country.
Utah beer brewers brought home 29 medals including five gold. Beer was judged in more than 80 different categories. Utah winners include:

O More than 10,000 employees now work in Utah's beer industry and their handiwork is impressing thirsty consumers, vendors as well as award judges.
On Tuesday at 12:15 p.m., Utah Brewers Cooperative's Greg Schirf, "Beer in the Beehive" author Del Vance, Red Rock Brewery's Kevin Templin and Tribune reporter Kathy Stephenson join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to talk about the burgeoning and profitable brewing scene in Utah.
