Emergency personnel rushed to the scene of a FrontRunner train-pedestrian accident late Thursday morning in West Bountiful.

Police dispatchers said the call reporting the incident came in at 11:45 a.m. from the area of 400 North, about a quarter-mile north of the Woods Cross station.

The South Davis Metro Fire District reported a 20-year-old man suffered a leg injury in the incident. He was in serious-to-critical condition, but stable, when flown by helicopter to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Utah Transit Authority officials confirmed that FrontRunner traffic between its Woods Cross and Farmington stations, both northbound and southbound, had been suspended into early Thursday afternoon due to the incident.

A "bus bridge" was used to transport train passengers around the affected area and additional trains were dispatched as well.
