Salt Lake City is offering free two-hour parking along the 300 South protected bike lane construction corridor between 300 East and 200 West.

According to a statement from City Hall, the move is aimed at easing inconveniences during construction. The free two-hour parking will be available beginning Saturday and lasting until the protected bike lane is completed in October.

Parking officials will not be ticketing cars parked for two hours or less, but will enforce the two-hour limit.

Drivers with questions can contact the Salt Lake City Transportation Division at 801-535-6630, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
