Salt Lake City police say he grabbed an ATM customer's cash withdrawal, and now, the 33-year-old ex-con will be deposited back in prison.

The suspect, an Iranian national on parole from a 2003 first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault conviction, allegedly approached a man getting cash from the machine at 455 E. 500 South about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said the suspect demanded the money, got it and then ran away as the victim shouted for help.

Responding officers soon located the suspect and arrested him without further incident.

The suspect was booked into the Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of first-degree felony aggravated robbery, second-degree felony possession of heroin, third-degree felony parole violation and a class B misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was being held without bail on an Adult Probation and Parole hold order, pending return to prison.

Utah Department of Corrections spokeswoman Brooke Adams said the suspect had initially been paroled in August 2009, but returned to prison on a violation in December 2012. He was released again in June 2013.
