The most famous lips in cult-movie history are coming to Salt Lake City next week.

The fifth annual Salty Horror Convention and International Film Festival — a celebration of horror films — will take over the Utah State Fairpark on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10 and 11. And one of the highlights is a visit from actress Patricia Quinn.

Quinn is best known for playing Magenta, the fright-wigged maid in the 1975 cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Quinn also provided the rouge-red lips that mouthed Richard O'Brien's vocal to the song "Science Fiction Double Feature" over the opening credits.

Quinn will take part in a special interactive screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," appearing with Out of the Shadows Theater Group, which has mounted the live-show to "Rocky Horror" for the last 20 years at the Tower Theatre. The screening is 5 p.m. Saturday at the Fort Douglas Post Theatre on the University of Utah campus. Tickets are $15.

The rest of the Salty Horror program, at the Fairpark, will include screenings of feature-length and short horror films, as well as appearances by actor Steve Dash (who played Jason Voorhees in "Friday the 13th Part 2"), filmmaker Christopher Coppola ("Palmer's Pick Up"), makeup-artist Chris Hanson ("Hellboy") and horror writer Carl Joglar.

Tickets for the Salty Horror event are $20 for a single day, $35 for the weekend, and $55 for VIP tickets. For more information, go to the Salty Horror website.
