While Utah's Republicans meet to select a new party chairman on Saturday, some Utah Democrats will canvass Salt Lake City's Sugar House neighborhoods Saturday in support of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama's presidential race.
The "Walk for Change" is part of a national effort taking place in every state.
So far 65 people have promised to meet at Sugar House Park Saturday morning before splitting up and handing out fliers and talking to residents in the Democratic stronghold.
Misty Fowler is chairwoman of Utah for Obama and she calls the grass-roots campaigning "invaluable."
She said the group will not try to convince people to vote for Obama, but will provide information and listen to concerns.
