The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Saturday the open house and dedication dates for the new Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple in South Jordan.
The public open house will run Jun. 1 through Aug. 1. The 60,000-square-foot temple is located at 11022 South 4000 West. The temple's formal dedication will be Aug. 14-16.
It will be the 130th operating in the world and will serve about 83,000 church members living in the western Salt Lake Valley.
The church on Saturday also announced a Feb. 14 ground breaking for the Gila Valley Arizona Temple.
