Salt Lake City police have arrested a man for allegedly shooting and killing another man outside a Salt Lake City concert.

Bradley Hancock, 24, of West Point, died Saturday night after gunfire erupted outside The Core, a concert venue at 1444 S. 700 West. He and the suspect, 20-year-old Quincy Lawson, had an altercation during the concert, at which point Lawson "brandished a gun and fired it at Hancock multiple times" about 9:05 p.m., according to a police news release.

By Sunday afternoon, Salt Lake City police announced that they had arrested Lawson near Nephi. The Magna man will be booked into the Salt Lake County jail under suspicion of homicide, said police Sgt. Robin Heiden.

Lawson's only criminal history in Utah court records is a shoplifting charge that he pleaded guilty to last month, and a disorderly conduct infraction in 2013.

A Go Fund Me online fundraiser collected more than $8,200 since early Sunday to help Hancock's wife and son, according to the page description.

During the shooting, a second man was also shot in the foot, according to the release. The 24-year-old was treated at the scene, the release adds.
