The Utes are on their way to their first bowl game since 2011 and consequently, Kyle Whittingham is on his way to a big pay day.

Whittingham is 44th on the list of USA Today's highest paid FBS coaches and stands to rake in $2.2 million this season in base salary, with a possible bonus of $740,000. His total salary is less than 2013, when Whittingham earned $2,427,100, but he could be in for another extension soon.

As for Utah State, Matt Wells in his second season at the helm for the Aggies saw his salary jump to $576,434 this season after making $502,500 in 2013. He also has the potential to earn a bonus of up to $765,000, ranking him 90th on the list of all 128 FBS schools.

Bronco Mendenhall's salary is not available because BYU is a private school and doesn't require disclosure of coaches salaries.

Of the Pac-12 teams, Whittingham is fifth in line behind Rich Rodriguez, Jim Mora, Mike Leach and Todd Graham. Rodriguez, the highest paid coach in the conference, stands to make $3,298,500 this season with the potential of an extra $2.125,000 in bonuses.

As for former Utah coaches, Urban Meyer will be paid $4,536,640 with up to $550,000 in bonuses for Ohio State, while Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen is set to make $2,258,000 with up to $440,000 in bonuses.
