A man found dead on Tuesday morning near Interstate 15 and 10600 South has been identified as a 56-year-old South Jordan man.

Flint J. Brown was found face-down next to a chain link fence on the south side of 10600 South, just west of the I-15 southbound onramp.

Brown was last seen wandering in the area near a hotel west of I-15 at about 11:30 p.m. Monday, according to South Jordan police spokesman Sam Winkler.

Winkler said the man's death was considered "suspicious," but police found no obvious signs of trauma to his body. No further details were released.

A passer-by reported an unconscious white male lying in a brushy area, just west of the freeway, at about 8 a.m, Winkler said.

Police and paramedics arrived to find the man was deceased.

The body has been turned over to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine a cause of death. Results may not be available for several weeks.

Anyone with information related to the case is urged to call the South Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000.
