A fire early Saturday destroyed a Millcreek home, the Unified Fire Department says.

Paramedic Rob Morley said a passerby saw smoke at the home near 1400 E. 4100 South about 1:10 a.m. and called 911. The home was fully engulfed when firefighers arrived and it took about 45 minutes to put out the blaze.

Nobody was inside the home at the time and there were no injuries. Damage was estimated at $180,000 to $200,000, making it a total loss.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
