Kianz Froese of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Shkelzen Gashi of the Colorado Rapids and Mario Cruz of the Chicago Fire have been suspended for one game and fined undisclosed amounts.
The MLS on Thursday announced the sanctions stemming from games last weekend.
Froese was cited for endangering an opponent's safety in the 74th minute of the Whitecaps' 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City. Gashi was punished for violating league policy when entering the field of play in the Rapids' 1-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy. Gruz did the same in the 54th minute of the Fire's 1-1 draw with Orlando City on Friday night.
Also, Federico Higuain of the Columbus Crew SC was fined an undisclosed sum for violating league policy for hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent in the 80th minute of a 2-1 loss to Philadelphia. Sunny Obayan of the Real Salt Lake was fined an undisclosed amount for diving in the 85th minute of 2-1 win over Seattle.
