At various points over the years, leaders in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have predicted walls would come tumbling down.

I don't think an occurrence on Tuesday is what they had in mind.

Construction workers Tuesday removed a wall around what is now Water Canyon High School in Hildale, Utah.

Ted Barlow, a resident of adjoining Colorado City, Ariz., took video and put it on Facebook with some narration — an explanation why the deconstruction is important and a thank you to the Washington County School District and people who had a hand in removing the wall.

The high school used to be a storehouse for the FLDS, and the wall was erected to obscure the storehouse and keep it secure.

The FLDS lost the storehouse to former follower Willie Jessop after he sued the church and its leaders over a burglary at his business. The new high school sits adjacent to an elementary school.
