Directions • From Interstate 15, take exit 341 and go east. Turn right on Wall Avenue, then turn left at 36th Street. Continue on 36th Street, and the trailhead will be on the left about a half a mile past Harrison Boulevard.

The 36th Street trailhead is a hub for a number of Ogden trails. But for Strongs Canyon, follow the wooden signs and stick to the right. The trail winds through a shaded area, and near the fenced edge of the Mount Ogden Golf Course. The trail will then cross a wide path near the golf course, but follow the signs and continue to head up the canyon. From there, the trail begins to run parallel to a river and continues to climb through the shaded canyon. The dirt path abruptly ends after little more than half a mile near a small waterfall and a trail intersection. Continue left to head towards one of Ogden's most well-known trails, Waterfall Canyon. If you go right across a bridge, the trail heads towards Beus Canyon. Even if you don't want to extend your hike, it's worth it to cross the bridge and climb up the hill to see a great view of Ogden and surrounding areas below you.
