A power outage is affecting more than 4,700 residents in Salt Lake City and surrounding neighborhoods.
The outage started at 2:24 p.m., and crews are working to restore power, said Rocky Mountain Power spokesman Paul Murphy. The cause of the outage is unknown, and it extends to residents in Holladay, Mill Creek Canyon and Salt Lake City in zip codes 84109 and 84117.
Crews expect to restore power by 6:30 p.m., Murphy said, if not sooner.
