Utah Valley University police are investigating a report of a male student who was sexually assaulted at a school locker room.

The man was in the Physical Education Building when he was purportedly approached and assaulted by another man about 5:45 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from UVU police.

The attacker is described as having a dark complexion and short black hair; he is in his early 20s and may have tattoos on his back or arm. The attacker, police say, was wearing a tank top, shorts and flip-flops.

"UVU police is encouraging UVU campus community members and guests to use extra care, especially in the PE Building," the release states. "... As a reminder, always trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help."
