A student was found dead Tuesday night in a restroom at Dixie State University's Student Activities Center in St. George, police said Wednesday.

The student was identified as Jessica Reynolds, 26, of Santa Clara.

Don Reid, director of campus police, said there is no sign of foul play in the death of the woman, who was a chemistry major.

A staff member discovered Reynolds inside a locked stall just before 8 p.m. and called for help, Reid said. He said a police sergeant started CPR and emergency medical personnel also tried to revive Reynolds when they arrived but were unsuccessful.

Security cameras show Reynolds swiping her card to get inside the center and track her movements in the building, Reid said.

"We see no foul play of any kind," he said.

The body has been turned over to the state Medical Examiner's Office.
