Utah stopped BYU quarterback Taysom Hill on a two-point conversion attempt with 18 seconds remaining, securing a 20-19 victory at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Hill had run 7 yards for a touchdown, completing a 75-yard drive. But he did not get past the line of scrimmage on a quarterback draw in his bid for a winning two-point play.

The Utes own a six-game winning streak in the series. Nine of the past 12 rivalry games and 16 of 19 have been decided by seven points or fewer.

Utah overcame six turnovers (to BYU's three) as quarterback Troy Williams passed for 194 yards and touchdown, offset by three interceptions. Hill also was intercepted three times, while passing for 176 yards and running for 87 yards.

BYU led 13-7 late in the first half before Williams hit Tim Patrick for a 21-yard touchdown. Andy Phillips accounted for Utah's six points in the second half via two field goals, including one that capped a drive of more than 11 minutes in the fourth quarter.
