Phoenix • Utah Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward could garner the first all-star selection of his career next month.

He was named the Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Hayward averaged 23.7 points a night, supplementing that with 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 in leading the Jazz to a 3-0 record last week. He shot almost 74 percent from the field in the process.

The Jazz are now 26-16 this season and will face the Phoenix Suns tonight in a road game.
