If you plan on hunting most species of big game in Utah this fall, time is running out. Hunters have until March 2 at 11 p.m. to get their applications into the Division of Wildlife Resources.

The best method is to visit www.wildlife.utah.gov/biggame.

Once you reach that site, you can find information that will help you decide which permits you may want to seek. Then, on that same page, you can fill out the application. The DWR says either the latest version of the Chrome or Firefox web browsers may be needed due to the latest security standards the DWR is using.

"Maps, drawing odds from 2016 and the success hunters found on various units last fall are among the items you'll find on the web page," says Judi Tutorow, wildlife licensing coordinator for the DWR. "It's a great resource."

Those who have questions can call the Utah Hunt Application office at 800-221-0659 or visit DWR offices in Salt Lake, Ogden, Springville, Price, Cedar City or Vernal.
